Pork Rolls with Chinese Pancakes, Taipei

Another of my favorite eateries that I took my friend to was this unassuming little eatery, located opposite a hospital on WuXing Street, Taipei. It's famous for their chinese pancakes (rather like the Indian prata), in which is wrapped some pork/beef strips and spring onions. It is simply delicious!

Before our main dish arrived, we had some cold side dishes - a typical Taiwanese side dish - sliced cucumber in sesame oil, garlic and chili ...

... and some stewed beancurd (dou gan) and egg ...

... also, some beancurd (tauhu) stewed in a different way ...

The main dish - the chinese pancakes ...

We opted for pork strips with spring onions (hidden below the pork) ...

Pork Chop Bian Dang, Taipei

To show my friend a typical Taiwanese meal, I took her for some pork chop bian dang/bento set, which consists of 2 side dishes:

We chose some "Dou Gan" (beancurd) and marinated brinjal (one of my fav side dishes) ...

And the pork chop with handmade flat noodles ...

Chun Shui Tang, Taipei

As I figured my friend would like to sample some typical Taiwanese dishes, I decided to take her to Chun Shui Tang. We ordered some XO Sauce Dry Noodles ...

... and some "mee sua" in sesame oil ...

We also ordered some bubble tea, which I sadly forgot to snap pics of.
