Initially, I wasn't too interested in going to Chinatown, LA, cos I figured it'd be similar to Chinatown in NY, SF and Boston, but I'm so glad we went there as it turned out to be one of the prettier Chinatowns I've seen. Firstly, it's cleaner...
Secondly, it looks like a movie set ...
Thirdly, it sold one of the best egg tarts we've ever eaten! It's made in the traditional style with a velvety custard filling which wasn't too sweet, and a delicious flaky crust, which isn't so common these days.
