The Bund, Shanghai


I remember the first time we took a drive to the Bund.  We went down this road and turned the corner and suddenly before us was this magnificent view of these grand imposing buildings!  What a view!  

When we took my parents there, my mom told us that during the colonial days, Singapore had several such buildings built by the British.  It was only then that I realised what a pity it was that so many of these grand old buildings were demolished to make way for the new buildings that stand in Singapore now.  


Due to the spectacular views on the Bund, there are usually a few wedding couples getting their outdoor photos taken ... look at this couple in their auspicious red outfits ...


An interracial marriage ... they are all getting ready to jump to get their photos taken in midair ...
