One of my favourite Taiwanese desserts
- Mian Mian Bing!
Or literally translated: Cotton Ice
It's actually like the Singapore ice kacang
except they flavour the ice with some milk
so the ice is extra fine ... like cotton/snow
This one we ordered is Coffee Mian Mian Bing
We had this at the famous stall at Shilin Night Market
called: 辛發亭 (Xin Fa Ting)
There are a number of shops specialising in
this kind of dessert but this is the
most famous ... and also the most crowded
but I think it's also the best,
partly cos it's been around for 40 years.
