We had some vouchers that entitled us to getting one free when we bought one, so we'd wanted to get some yesterday. But the queues were incredible yesterday. The entire Xinyi shopping district had been turned into a night market! It was such an experience! But anyway, back to Cold Stone.

So, we went to Cold Stone today to try our luck. And there was still a queue (probably the only time I've not seen a queue is early in the morning when they just open for business). But it was much better than yesterday. We ended up getting their Christmas specials. Delish!

Oh, and separately, I feel compelled to give a shout-out to the Uni-President group, Taiwan. I don't know how they do it, but everything they touch seems to turn to gold. And for all their stores (7-11, Mister Donut, Cold Stone), the service is impressive. The sales assistants are courteous, helpful, cheerful. Service industries worldwide could take a leaf from their book!
